Bob Allwein: Hi, this is Bob Allwein from Maryland Cash House Buyers. So, we’re in a house today that we are renovating for resale. One of the questions that we frequently hear is, should I use a realtor to sell my house? And you know what? Nine out of 10 times, maybe you should use a realtor to sell your house. If your property is in very good condition and you believe that it doesn’t need a lot of work to get it ready for the next family to love and enjoy, then absolutely by all means, you should consider listing with a realtor. Now, when you list with a realtor, be prepared to pay five to 7% in commission of the sale price when you sell your house.
In addition, it could take anywhere from 30 days, to 90 days or longer, to receive an offer and to go to settlement on the sale of your house. It could also involve a home inspection and having repairs required as part of that home inspection. These are all things to think about when you’re considering selling to a realtor. If we come out and talk with you, we are going to ask you if you have considered talking to a realtor and if we think that’s the best scenario for you, we will absolutely suggest that you do that. In fact, we have two licensed realtors that we work very closely with, one is actually on our team, and we’ll be able to point you in the right direction if you need help with that.
If you have any questions about how that all works, please reach out to us on our website, Maryland Cash House Buyers . We’ll be happy to schedule a time to come out and talk with you about your best scenario and point you in the right direction. Thank you so much.
